Re: Not a wuss!

Today, I had my follow-up appointment with my surgeon, and he said that everything looked to be healing well. I let him know that I am still pretty sore and nauseated, and he told me that he expected that I would be given the number of adhesions I had. The adhesions indicated that the problem had probably been going on for a long time, with pretty significant inflammation. The bad news? I can expect to feel sore and nauseated for another couple of weeks. The good news? He could see that this had been a significant problem, and expects that there will be significant improvement! The best news? I am not a wuss- I have the "expected" level of ickiness due to a complication! Yes! Not a wuss!!!
(As you can see, I have major issues with not being tough!)
In other news, I'll be heading out of town tomorrow evening because I have an interview on Friday afternoon. It seems a little dirty to be interviewing for a new job while I am home on sick leave, but in all fairness, I have volunteered to go back to work. Multiple times! But they won't let me return until Monday, and after that I will be covering people's vacations instead of getting my regular days off. So it's really important that I get the interviewing done now, or I may end up on a street corner singing showtunes with a tin cup at my feet. Which I can't imagine would be very lucrative, given my off-key tendencies.
