The grumbling continues...

Thanks for all the encouraging comments, and sorry for such a downer post yesterday. I'm just frustrated, plain and simple. I hate having things wrong with me, and the family contribution does not help. A couple of family members are not insisting on coming down to "help out" post-op, which will be a mistake for everyone involved. Family visits, particularly from this side of the family are just stress in a can. They march in, point out everything they perceive to be wrong in my life ("This apartment is a mess!" "You have too many books!" "Becoming a psychologist is a waste!"), make me feel invalid and generally invoke a lot of tears. Even my malfunctioning organ is evidence of my faults- apparently, I somehow carelessly ruined my gallbladder. And this "advise" is always given in the name of "helping," and I should appreciated the well-intended nature of it. Well, the road to hell is paved with good intentions- and I don't appreciate it! Rar!

I'm sorry, I digress. I meant this to be a post where I point out that I do have a wonderful support network of friends (and pets), and I was remiss to forget you yesterday!

Anyway, I hope to return tomorrow with something fun to say- like how Curlin was awesome in his second place finish today, and Proud Spell was awesome in her win today! :)
