Look at me, way up high!

Suddenly, here is Casino Drive flying down the stretch in the Peter Pan Stakes! Casino Drive, a half brother to Jazil and Rags to Riches is on his way to the Belmont Stakes, and did he ever stamp his ticket in style! His six length victory has made the Belmont, still a month a way, even more interesting than before.

If Casino Drive goes on to win the Belmont Stakes over Big Brown (and that might be a very big if!), he will be the third strait Belmont Stakes winner for his mother, Better Than Honour. Two winners was unheard of; three strait wins for her progeny would be about the biggest accomplishment for a broodmare... ever. I was lucky enough to get to know this mare and some of the other family members, so for me this is even more exciting than if she was just a faceless name in mentioned in the Daily Racing Form.
